Sara in Myanmar

Sara was brought up in a strong Buddhist family and lived with great devotion to Buddhism. This is her story.

In May 2017 I had two dreams. In the first dream, I saw a stairway to heaven. Then I heard a mighty voice and saw a person coming down the stairs. He had bronze colored feet. I was so close and wanted to touch Him. However, when I stretched out my hands to Him, a big black bat-like creature attacked me and kept me from him. I told the black animal, “You are ugly and cunning,” and I woke up.

In my second dream of the night, I was in a restaurant. I approached the counter to order, and noticed a man that looked like a handsome movie star. As I looked at him, he asked me, “Am I still ugly?” I was so terrified that I woke up. These strange dreams disturbed my mind for days and I couldn’t sleep. I sought out a Buddhist monk for answers, but he couldn’t help.

Then, one day, I went to my Christian friend’s hair salon, and told her everything. She told me that her God, Jesus, was calling me. We had been friends for many years, but this was the first time we ever talked about our faith.

She told me that Jesus was the living God and that I could find out if He was real. I decided to challenge Jesus with impossible things. Miraculously, both of those challenges were answered immediately.

I realized that these were not just coincidences, and that Jesus is real. I accepted Jesus Christ as my God and Lord. Since then, I have faced strong opposition from my Buddhist family and relatives.
