GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER

Join believers around the world on May 17 for a day of prayer for the Buddhist world.

On May 17, 2026, believers around the world are invited to join the Global Day of Prayer for the Buddhist World. Whether you are praying on your own, with your family, as a small group, or as part of a church gathering, we would love for you to be part of this united day of prayer.

This is an opportunity to join others across nations and time zones in asking God to move in powerful ways throughout the Buddhist world. On May 17, we welcome prayer for your missionaries, favorite Buddhist countries, and more. However, we are asking our partners to join us in prayer for the three following areas as a starting point.

  1. Open Doors

  2. Open Open

  3. More Laborers

Below, you can register your participation and access resources to help guide your prayer time. Registration helps us track participation around the world, and the video, slides, and prayer topics are designed to support individuals, churches, small groups, and prayer gatherings as they take part.

As we approach 10,000 people praying regularly for the Buddhist world, we believe this year’s day of prayer can help move us toward the larger vision of 50,000 people praying regularly.

Please register your participation to help us track the Global Day of Prayer 2026. We are believing for 50,000 praying on ONE DAY.

Whether you are praying on your own or hosting a larger gathering, registering helps us track participation, celebrate what God is doing globally, and encourage others to join this growing movement of prayer.

More than one billion people live in Buddhist contexts, most of them across Asia. In many of these places, few people have had the opportunity to truly encounter the gospel.

We believe prayer is essential. Prayer opens hearts, prepares the way for the gospel, strengthens believers, and calls workers into the harvest.

Prayer Points

  1. PRAY FOR OPEN DOORS
Ask God to open doors for the gospel across the Buddhist world and create opportunities for Jesus to be made known in homes, communities, and unreached places. Pray for bold witness, Spirit-led conversations, and moments where the message of Christ can be shared clearly. (Colossians 4:3)

  2. PRAY FOR OPEN HEARTS
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal truth, bring spiritual light, and draw people to Jesus. Pray for open hearts, understanding, and faith, and ask God to move in power through signs and wonders that point people to Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6)

  3. PRAY FOR MORE LABORERS
Ask the Lord to raise up and send more laborers into the harvest fields of the Buddhist world. Pray for workers who will go, stay, make disciples, plant churches, and see fruit that lasts. (Matthew 9:37-38)
